Trying to hire and they are all "Drawing"

We have been trying to hire another employee to work in the shop at our shipping facility and everyone we have approached so far, is Drawing a gumment check of some sort and can't work at a public job. They say it will mess up their check. Really a sad situation. Ken Sweet

Hire them report to the guvment, and then fire them!!!
I think anyone getting hand outs if able to use mouth, hands or what ever should have to do a work schedule of some kind. I have seen to many playing a game at tax payers expence so they are taking care of. I know people who get food stamps that get to eat steak everyday why I work, pay taxes so I can afford a peanut butter sandwhich. Come to think about it, wonder what I could get pretending I am helpless?
I do not mean anything against true cases where needed.

Have you posted your vacancy with the unemployement office since part of their job is to find jobs for the unemployeed ???? You'll get a lot of dead wood if you're offering less than welfare wages. MikeD74T

I blame it on the Gov. If they would quit giving out handouts and make people go back to work and "EARN" a living America might get back on its feet. Hate to see someone wearing gold cains fancy watches, driving a new car (decked out) and buying groceries with foodstamps. True there are some people who realy need it and thats fine but for the ones who can work --make them work.:thumbsup:

As a small business owner , it makes me wonder sometimes , are the long hours , stress , etc... worth it ? At election time the politicians say " small businesses are the backbone of our country " Well , they're doing a good job at trying to break the back of a small business . I guess I have the freedom to quit , file bankrupcy , and become a dependent of the gov't ..... no way !

No, I have not tried that. I am looking for someone in my community or within a 15 mile radius. The unemployment office is 30 miles away. Ken Sweet

Well I hope you dont give in to the low-lifes and agree to pay someone cash so they can still get them gumment checks.

I cant imaging that would be good if you got caught.

But I agree, these people are a burdon on the rest of us and need to quit "milking" the system and GET A JOB.

Actually one dealer that I drive pass does pay cash to most but most who work for cash I would not hire.
