Rear Blade Trying to figure out what this is

I'm trying to figure out what this is, I was thinking it might be a subsoiler. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The main part is typical root plow design, but light duty.

No idea what the discs are for, unless they are coulters for the shanks behind them, if placed correctly.

Thanks for the quick answers. That looks just like how it works, I hooked it to my jd2025r just to see how it worked. Needless to say, it stopped me as soon as it bit. lol
