I'm replacing a 21 year old Ford 1920 (4cyl. diesel, 12f/12R, 32 HP, four wheel drive) with a loader and have narrowed it down to one of three JD models - either a 3032E, a 3038E, or a 3320. All with their appropriate loaders. I've liked the 1920, we've beat the crap out of it, ignored it's maint (yea, I can hear you booing and hissing already) and it keeps on chugging. I'm considering switching to JD, because my new holland dealer is circling the drain and their service has gone down hill drastically. We bought our utility vehicle from the JD dealer and have had great luck with them, so we thought we would look there.

Any opionions on the JD models I mentioned? We own a 5 acre horse ranch and it's main duties are moving manure and sealing and grooming arenas. Though we have been known to work it really hard leveling pads and using it to build barns, tack rooms etc.

Also can someone tell me the difference between the 300x and 300 cx loader?

Thanks in advance.

Ian

300X vs. 300CX I believe is just the lift capacities. On the larger loader 400X vs 400CX is self leveling.

Capacity are on the JD site.

ddivinia is correct, the 300CX has more lift capacity, it also has a little taller lift height too, it is not a self leveller like the 400CX. If you do wind up with the 300CX on the 3320 don't hesitate to go with the 6' bucket, it handles it with ease. I got both when I bought my 3320/300CX because I already had a tooth bar for a 5' bucket and the dealer gave me a great deal on a like new 6' HD bucket at the time of purchase (a little more than a 6' tooth bar would have cost).
