I have a shop where we had a company extend/ enlarge the natural gas piping to install an additional heater. I wouldn't recommend them to enemies.
They ran what appears to be flexible continuous pipe of 1 inch dia. and there is some brass compression type fittings made to be used with this type flex pipe.
I need to tee off a spot in the run to add an infra red heater so I need to go from 1 inch to 1/2" out the side.
I can not seem to find any local suppliers for the average do it yer selfer.
I need a 1X 1 X 1/2 tee
and maybe 8' of the 1/2 inch flex hose like they used to get to where I need to hook up to the appliances flex hose/ shut off valve.
Also a fitting for the end of the 1/2 flex pipe to hook up appliance hose.
Any ideas who sells this stuff??
Greater seattle area would be nice, bit mail order is ok too.

Around here they sell the flexible gas line at the local supply house but you have to take a class that is a couple hours long on how to safely install the stuff before they will sell it to you. This may be the reason you can't find anyone in your area to sell it to a DIYer.

We have the same thing in WA state. You need to have some secret license to buy the stuff.

I just did my propane lines with 3/4 inch Black Steel Pipe. It's pretty easy to do and my propane guy came out and inspected it all and he was happy. You may want to check on the code regulations for your county.

TractorLegend,
I have no idea how prone your area is to lightning storms, but you might want to read the website about the CSST settlement that affected 4 companies, not Tru-Flex.

I put the OmegaFlex brand in my house. This is great stuff...lot
less labor than black steel pipe.

I, too, had to get certified, but it was very easy, and the company
does not care who uses it. I had to show my certification to the
bldg inspector, as well my vendor.
