troy built identification help

i have an older troy built tiller and am having problems with the serial number. I cleaned the area where it says serial number here but i am having no luck. I have included some photos. Thanks Bruce

I have an old "horse" also and the s/n is hand stamped on the surface just below the top "cover" for the gearbox where is says tiller ser. number. Mine is a 6 digit#

My Troy-Bilt is a "Bronco CRT" and is about 6 years old. The S/N is on a sticker on the right-forward portion of the tiller shield - on the outside - right behind the right tire.

And what are you needing a serial # for?? Parts?? Is there other problems with it??

My guess would be if it SAYS serial #, but you see no number, it may have corroded away??? Is it stamped into metal? or is it one of those aluminum tags?
