Trolling motor on a pedalboat registration??

We have a camp on a small pond in Vermont. My wife brought the smallest minntonka (sp?) trolling motor and hooked it up to the pedalboat. I was opposed to this but turns out it is a hoot.
Anyway, Do I now need to register the pedal boat. In VT the DMV oversees boat registration. The website says "any" boat with a motor. But they seem to be speaking of gas motors.
I am still trying to find a phone# and will call them but I thought I would ask here.

The phone # is on the bottom of this page. Individual registration office #'s are in the link I included below (vehicle registration).

Is this "pond" on private property? If so, do you need to register?

On the vehicle registration form (click here) it says in the title section that this type of machine probably doesn't need to be titled (see #1 in the exceptions).

I would call to confirm but it doesn't sound like you need to register.

Thanks for the links. I have been trying to call. I found the number at the first link. Lots of busy signals. Finally got voicemail and pushed all the options to get where I needed and a warning told me a VT prisoner would handle the call. I thought that was cool. But when I agreed to that I got stuck in voicemail heck and never did get a live human.
You are right - by your second link it looks like I am excluded. I missed that originally so thanks for the link and doing the searches. Later on today I may try and tackle the voicemail system again to see if I can get a human.
