I bought a new wheel shaft and am replacing shaft-bushings-shims as needed-seals. I want to put the new axle in place but the clutch keyway groove and the keyway groove on the one gear don't seem to line up? must have turned when I pulled old shaft out. Is their a trick to get this shaft in without having to take all the gears out? I got trans sitting on bench. It is a mid 80's pto model w/8hp kohler. Thanks!
