All good advice...

I fear having the media invited to her home would really be too much for her, but maybe as a last resort.

As it stands, everything is on hold pending the city survey party determination. From what I understand, based on the latest round of city layoffs, it could take months to hear anything.

The rains have started after 6 months without a drop... so any fire concerns are greatly reduced.

I did have several questionable trees remove from her land this week as a precaution after getting the city arborist's approval.

I heard the sound of chain saws early Wednesday morning as I left the house on my way to work. I stopped when I saw a 6 man private tree company working in the area. The owner was there and to make a long story short he gave a price that was reasonable and did the work the same day.

My widow neighbor had been praying about it and she believes the tree crew, the price and taking care of the trees the same day and my hearing them was in answer to her prayers.

I will post if and when we hear back from the city...
