UPS man just dropped off a case of 50 tubes of Paragon 3000 no.2 grease at my door. Man that is a lot of grease. It was the smallest size they would sell me. I just need about 40 tubes of it. If someone else would like to take 10 tubes off my hands for what I gave for them + postage I'll ship it to you. I'm not making any money on the deal (losing some counting gas to the PO) so this is kinda like a service to the TBNers out there that would like to try this grease in a smaller batch. If interested PM me here on TBN.

What price did you get per tube?
I would be willing to purchase 10 tubes from you.
Send e-mail to rkaup@nedakethanol.com
Thanks

Not to be nosy (ok, I AM being nosy :D) but what do you use the Paragon 3000 on/for? I'm familiar with TRC products btw, love em!

We use it just on the farm here. ZTR mower and the spindels. They sure use lots of grease and I've read not to put moly in a mower spindel. My Kubota L5040 with loader has 24 grease fittings (that I've found so far). We have other farm stuff. My tractor is currently sitting out in the weather so I wanted a waterproof grease and I have read some concerns with Moly when in long term presence of water becoming acidic. No idea if that happens or not but I'm impressed with how tacky Paragon is and how hard it is to wash off my hands. Soap and hot water won't get it done!

Thanks for the reply bilrus61. :) It's just that I am a little surprised you'd use the Paragon 3000 instead of TRC's 880 Crown & Chassis or Lithplex since even those two are so much better than most of the other greases on the market. However, I have to commend you for spending the extra to get the very best! In the big picture, it's still very cheap compared to repairs, downtime and the aggravation of sloppiness in bushings caused by wear that could have been prevented.

A little story about Paragon...a local hydraulics guy (very knowledgeable and capable) used to repair a certain unit that had an internal greased point that had no way be greased externally. The unit had to be pulled apart after about 6 months of constant use and rebuilt, even the ones straight from the factory. New or rebuilt, it was always the same. One day, the local TRC dealer gave him a bit of Paragon 3000 to use in that application and so far, his rebuilt unit has now been in service well over 18 months with no problems! Says a lot about Paragon's lubricating abilities!

I am working at an ethanol plant, Nedak Ethanol LLC, and we are changing from a Kluber grease ($90 a tube) to the Paragon 3000 and using it on our centrifuge main bearings.
These bearings have a 3" shaft and spin about 3000 rpm for 24 hours a day. Every 12 days we add more. Once a year we change out bearings.

rkaup...If your changing greases any way, research Schaeffer Moly Ultra 221 grease. It is specifically designed for that type of application and is considerably less expensive than TRC Paragon 3000. Even possible you wont have to change the bearings every year.

We were kind of "forced" into changing from Kluber to Paragon because the individuals that rebuildt the bowl on this application used the Paragon. So we are kind of stuck with Paragon until next years major overhaul! Besides that Paragon is cheaper than Kluber $100 to $7 per tube, so we are really happy with that for now.
Thanks
