Just finished my tranny service on 2320. Manual said 3. Something and sticker under hood said 2.4 I think. I went with the lower of the 2. Like everyone else, ran all pto's and drove it around. Still nothing in sight glass. Not being sure exactly how much residual I didn't t
Get out during the draining, I threw in one more quart. Now the whole sight glass is full. My question is ,not being visible at all, and now totally full by only putting in one quart, should I be concerned of overfilling these things, or if it fit in not to worry? Maybe John Deere can get there manuals right and spend 15 cents on a tranny dipstick! Thanks

You should be good.
Check it with the FEL in full up position and see if that puts the oil "in the window". I find the window tough to tell if empty or full. When in the middle, much more obvious.

A dipstick is fine, but also a place to get a lot of dirt and debris in the tranny oil. So having everything closed off is a plus. Don't think you can overflow the tranny with less than a quart.

Did ya find those 2 hidden funky grease fittings on the drive shaft universals between the engine and trans...under the floor pan...?

No not yet, but have read about them on other posts, gonna hit them tomorrow.....if I find them!

Better to find them now.......I did a oil/filter/trans service for a friend and found the buggers and greased them......it had been serviced before by a "pro" since new (3 yrs) and they were never greased.....
