With that kind of mileage it's up to you to decide how long you are planning to keep it running. But given the choice I would have it bench built and I would buy aftermarket clutch plates. The last GM I had the clutch plates broke down and plugged up some of the oil channels.

time for an update on this thread, droped truck off at local trans shop today shoud have it back mid to end of next week I will post back on results.
