Jinma JM200LE
Jinma JM200LE with 14.5 Hours. I am going to change my transmission oil today. To insure oil in the creeper gearbox I would like to remove the top and put 2 quarts directly into it. Is there any precautions I need to know, or will the top come off and go back on directly? How about the GL4 versus GL5 discussion? If the creeper drains completely without any crud left do I still need to flush the entire transmission group? I changed the Hydraulic fluid last week and the system was clean.
Thanks for any help given,
Harold

It never hurts to flush. I recommend it, especially on a new Chinese tractor.

It's a simple job Harold, but have gasket material ready from which to cut a replacement creeper box cover. A pre-formed gasket is obviously best, but the Chinese cork gaskets really suck. Decent gasket material is available from all auto parts stores, and is only a few dollars a box. Cut your own. Last choice (in my opinion) is that "gasket in a tube" stuff.

GL4/GL5 makes little difference in a Jinma, provided you read the label. Select one that
1. specifies anti-foaming properties. The label may say non-foaming or low foam or anti-foaming additives. They all mean the same thing. If in doubt, don't buy it.
2. clearly states it's approved for yellow metals (brass, copper, bronze, etc).
