Lost all fluid. I had a few gallons and partially refilled it. When I put the metal line into the rubber hose, there was hardly any slack in the rubber hose and it just barely covered the metal line when I put the hose clamp on. I would think one would want it on better, but there was no slack. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Did the metal line get pulled... How much did it go on 1/2 a inch?.....

it is on there just barely. Can I mix brands of fluid?

OK, it is to the cooler. There appears to be no damage the metal pipe. The rubber hose goes through a metal tube to meet the metal pipe. Can I push the hose from the other side of the metal tube? I would have to disconnect it from the cooler to get a good push, messy? Will I want to get a new hose? It is on there but only about the width of a quarter, a few mm. I would think it needs a lot more.

I ordered new tie rods. The right one was really mangled, and the left was a little off as well.

I had that hose come off too while I was using my chipper.... smelled hydraulic oil, and thought, that's strange !@#$%^&* I just pushed mine back on and tighten the hose clap down more. I did not replace anything, going on 3 years now, no more problems. Guess I should re-check mine!

If anyone has one of the early "Standard" L's, it would be worth your time to check the connection going into the small air cooler!!! Where the rubber meets the metal... Make sure it's not backing off.

{edit} re-reading your last post, I think mine went on a full 1/2" can you grab it with pliers a force it more onto the pipe??

It needs to go on far enough to get a clamp on the hose over the metal line to hold it on ....

I messed with it again by hand pushed the metal in a bit further. Need to add fluid before big test. Here's one, how tight should I hose clamp like that be. I went tight, then a little tighter without mashing on it at all. City boy in 14th year in the country has lots to learn.
