Wow, that is lucky -- glad it worked out. The plugs must be awful soft metal.

Got a new drain plug and washer seal from Messicks and was able to snug it on by hand. Glad this turned out to be a simple fix.

Glad to hear it.

There's a lesson here in that the simple answer is the one that should be tried first because it usually works. Always go with the easy answer first.
