He finally got the hint that I wasn't going to keep retrieving the boomerang HE threw into a tree:laughing: After about 10 attempts I helped him (he didn't ask), BUT he took the time to go to the garage and get a tool that he thought would help him without me telling him.

We're slowly getting there LOL

Picked what looks like to be a great tool too!
My nephew would have got out a chain saw, so your light years ahead of us:laughing:

Perhaps not, mine doesn't even know how to work the chainsaw yet:laughing:

He has however shown a great interest in wanting to work the mower and do the lawn. Still a little too small at 6 though.

Well at 6, he seems to have an interest in mechanics to a degree. At that age wanting to do anything but video games shows allot of promise.

I let my daughter try the mower when she was 6 or 7, being the overprotective dad I am, you'd have thought she was going to a hockey game:laughing: The boy's , well I always just expected more from outside chores from them, they didn't get "babied" like my daughter. Good ,bad dunno, but for me it was instinctive I guess.
