Trailering a JD990 and MX5 cutter

   / Trailering a JD990 and MX5 cutter #11
I too have a Ranger, and while they are pretty impressively built, i'd have to say that trailering is not what they are good at. I think it's always safer to have a larger truck when towing anything. Personally, if I wanted to tow anything around 5000 lbs, i'd seriously look at either a Chevy 1500 (Ford F-150) or a Chevy 2500 (Ford F-250). I like being able to accelerate if I need to and cruise at highway speeds without having to constantly worry about my load.

If you just have to tow short distances once and a while, fine. Go slow and be very careful. But if you are going anyplace far away or tow more often, I'd really think about a larger truck. Chances are, you'll be much happier, more stress free and generally safer because of the above two reasons alone!

Happy trailoring!!!
