i added a small harbor freight 12v winch to my old utility trailer. easy to do. used 1-1/2" channel and pin. the hard part was running 1/0 copper wire to power it .spendy stuff. Mine has wireless remote good to 50 feet+. only paid like $75 for it on sale. have used it for past 3-4 years. works fine.

I have a 5000# winch on my trailer for 10 years now and run it off a jumper pack. I can pull 3 to 4 cars before a recharge.
