Trailer opinion

I just bought another trailer for my skidsteer. LOL, just like the one I have but better shape and has had a new aluminum floor installed taken from a tractor trailer. My present one , Hudson 16 flat, 3 ft dovetail deckover has braces that support the ramps it transit. The new trailer has chains. I can't decide if I want to leave it chain or fabricate braces. What are the pro's and cons? I am about to send it to the welding shop to have hideaway inserts welded under the frame so that my forks can be carried under the deck. Both sides. I carry 4 ft forks and 6 ft forks. So I need to decide about the ramps and get it done at the same time. These welds are bigger than I should be welding with my welder

I have never had braces, but for me on my deckover, chains are more versatile.

Get the ramp bars. They will hold the ramps up in a vertical position. Up out of the way.

LOL, change of plans; I went to pick up trailer and the title he gave me did not match the serial number. So, deals off. Went to a custom trailer builder today. I am having one built now. LOL, I did not think about the deck over being to wide if built with channels to carry skidsteer forks. I guess that good idea is a dead end.
