Saw this at the rv dealer and would like to see others for ideas as it would be really handy for me if I could put one on my old gas tractor. webshots rv lift

Biron your link doesn't appear to be a valid one. You may want to recheck the URL.

It looks like you do multifamily(or townhouses). How do you like your Dodge?

The dodge runs good, have yet to haul the trailer with it. I am looking to build an rv barn for the trailer and will be able to make the barn longer if I can rig a trailer hitch. The truck is 21 feet long the trailer is 30'-4" long and backing it in will be easier if I can use the tractor.

I used to work on custom homes and small commercial as a tin banger/ plumber/ multi fuels heating guy and now teach shop as the back is pouched.

Need ideas for simple hitches for a simple guy;)

Thanks!

better pic

I am in the design phase of a dolly for pushing the trailer around. The pin will drop in the pipe and I will use my tractor to push it around. Any suggestions. The height to the top of the pipe will be 4.5', The pipe will be 3" ID, the casters will be 5"- 600 lb rated, I will be moving on a concrete slab dead slow. I am trying to thicken up my skin so comments are welcome.

Bill, that may work well, but I'll admit to being a little skeptical. Sometimes I have a hard time visualizing the actual size from a picture, but it seems that the wheels, or castors, are a bit small for most 5th wheel RV pin weights. And if you're pushing against the dolly and one or more of the wheels finds a small hole, rough spot, etc., could you turn the dolly over and drop the front end of the trailer? Of course, if you leave the jack legs fairly close to the ground and go slow, I suppose it might be safe enough.

The castor size and weight ratings have been added to the post. When I compare it to the actual trailer in 3d it looks small as well but so does my tractor. LOL
