Before I jump into another project, does anyone sell a longer trailer hitch thingy that would make it easier to attach a trailer? It's a struggle getting my ATV trailer attached, fighting with the 3 point stuff. I have a piece of steel but it takes forever to drill those big holes.

Had you considered mounting the trailer ball onto your 3PH assembly?

Here's how I did it using spare parts lying around my garage.

That's a different twist and a possibility. That upper arm would stabilize things. The setup I came up works pretty good.

This is what I have on my tractor. It was like $54 and came with a 1 7/8" and 2' ball. I don't know the manufacture but works perfect as I can just back up to my 16' trailer, lift and move the trailer without having to crank the tongue jack up and down and as you would with a drawbar hitch.

Oh yea mine also came with a clevis pin.

I have the unit like Geneha's. (above) Mine came from Skid Steer Express and included a clevis as well as the 2 ball hitches. It cost me about $88 delivered. Very handy!

I think the easiest and least expensive route is to purchase a Reese step hitch and mount it as discussed in this thread. I just purchased one (my second) to do the same thing. The first one I bought I mounted on the bottom of my ballast box as seen here. The one I just bought was on Amazon and was $25.57 with free shipping.

Here's my version. Welded on the upper crossbar so I can hang suitcase weights on it. Holds 3 weights on each side. Figure about 280 lbs total. The 2" receiver moves my trailer around without getting off the seat.

Wouldn't one that bolted to the drawbar let the 3pt lift arms interfere with the tongue on the trailer if it had a A frame tongue?
