Someone ask me about these on a private message. Could not post a picture there so trying it here. This is a Neura Trailer SKU-08-601 spring. it's 1.5 coil 13.63 long cost $15.82. I used a chain to find the proper tension points using temporary clamps on attachment points. This has worked well for over 3 years. I can lift the can when down with a nudge of my foot. You can go buy those Gorilla lift assist for over 159.00. My neighbor had some and all the rollers in it were wore out after a few years. That yellow paint on them is impressive though.
Just weld you a bracket on your gate and make some .312 by 1 x3 inch swivel with a bolts. Find your attachment point and weld. I do not have a safety cable. I put mine on right side of trailer and open it from the left. Anything with tension it can be dangerous.

Very good. :thumbsup: Never occurred to me to make them... I just bought the gorilla lift; you're version saved lots of money.

I do like having the springs enclosed, though.
