Tractor
Ford 1720 4wd shuttle
Found this on a used car lot.It's 6.5' x 16' and has brakes on rear axle.All it needs are new fenders and I found a local trailer parts place that has them for $40.00 each.When I weld them on I will put them a little higher as you can see the tires are nearly rubbing with the tractor loaded.It's a pretty tight fit with the bush hog but I think I got a fairly good deal on it and if the bush hog fits, any other implements I'm likely to get will fit.I found the best position I could and still fold up the ramps, then I screwed a 2x4 to the deck so I will know right where to stop.It has chains to hold ramps up,I just didn't have hooked on.

When you get the welder out to put the new fenders on I would also make some sort of stop along the front of the trailer. Make it out of at least 2" tubing and make it about 8" high.

Is that a 3/4 ton pick up?

How much does the tractor weigh?
What's the trailer rated for?
```````````` With brakes on just the rear wheels and only a 1/2 ton you may be getting close to pushing the envelope.
I have a 7xx16' car hauler.. it weighs 1700# and have no problem towing with my dodge half ton.. has 1-axle of rear brakes.
To the OP.. the reason i got detachable ramps was so i could park the tractor where it was safest with weight distributed properly to the toungue.. etc.. not convienient position.
I suggest you find where your weight is correct then install some chains/hooks to hold them ramps wherever they have to be to get that correct weight.
