Trail-et horse trailer?

My wife is looking for a used bumper-pull horse trailer.

The model is "New Yorker II" - aluminum over steel frame~ about 12-15 years old.

Experience? Thoughts?

they are/were made a few miles from where I live. I think the company is still in business. Does it have a treated deck out of 2X8's and a heavy rubber matting?

That's a well made trailer. Check the flooring, extent of the rust, bring a small battery to check the brakes unless you have a hookup on your truck already, check all the lights. I'd jack up the axle and spin the wheels to see how the wheel turns and make sure it's tight. If you're ambitious pull the wheels and check the condition of the brakes.
