I also saw one of these two wheel tractors in a town called Wengen. They don’t allow cars there but there were quite a bit of vehicles and equipment making deliveries. This two wheel was hooked up to a pretty good sized flat bed hauling things. I wish I’d got a picture, this one is a stock one off the internet.

If no cars are allowed, how did that red one get in the picture?
That is similar to an old Gravely tractor here in the states.

Lots of this type of “tractor” used in the steeper ground.

My Hurlimann Prince 435 has a lot of well thought out features

A pair of Aux hydraulic ports as standard.

Hydraulic actuated Diff lock on the FRONT axle! (This thing climbs like a billy goat)

Multi speed PTO with GROUND SPEED .

As many reverse speeds as there are Forward (4X3 in this model)

Mid mount PTO for front driven implements. (Snow blower for my needs)

Both position and draft control for the 3pth lift.

Many wheel offset position options to set track width.

Low set profile , very handy in grove, orchard or bush.

Quality Mitsubishi Engine, (though I dread finding sources for small parts if needed)

My experience with D-F for parts has been Fantastic when I needed to replace a broken front axle casting!

NO!, You should NOT hang 1000# off the back end and then pry on immovable ledge with the curl function of the FEL. Stuff will break, and fluids will spill out! ;-(

The years just following this example had a tandem hydraulic pump, with one dedicated to steering functions.

Those Swiss guys know how to put together a tractor...

even if it may have been built in Bulgaria or even India// I can't tell.

It does have the SL&H "Swirl" logo on all the castings/

SAME, Lamborghini, & Hurlimann.

For All I know it's a Italian, like a Vespa or a FIAT. ;-)

They brought the red car by helicopter. ;) Not really it’s a stock photo not from Switzerland.

On a warm day on top of the mountains near Jungfrau.
We also got to see them bringing up building supplies by helicopter.

We saw quite a bit of supplies we saw delivered by helicopter. They were doing construction at the top of Jungfrau so they had a cable car setup just for those materials.
