Interesting. Sure simplifies the systems . Batteries supply weight for traction and stability.
What are we looking at in cost per unit? Add ons? Dealers?

Thanks for the link looks intereting. Im now wondering if when all thes electric cars of ''today'' (toyota) etc start goin to junk yards. The there will be some materials aval for some interesting re uses of the parts.Im not sure how ong it will be untill they become old enough so people will junk them, but the rest must get the best of the car at one point..
thanks again

Well at the tractor end of the scale, 24v-72v, there are a lot of electric forklift trucks in junk yards that will give up motor, controller, charger, and maybe even some usable batteries. A forklift axle would be pretty strong if used on the back of a tractor. The hydraulic pump motor would run all the hydraulics, and maybe even the PTO, that the tractor would need.

For car stuff there are some really good controllers out there, including a build it yourself kit, and fork lift motors do just in in budget conversions and builds.
