What was the original purpose of that slab? Another silo?

Yep. 28 foot, poured in 1980. A neighbor bought the bin, tore it down and moved it 5 miles away (long before I moved here).

Yeah we got our splash and dash rain. Not enough to get any water moving in the mostly dry creek.
