That picture is horrific! :D

OldPath must still be out cleaning up, he hasn't posted since Tuesday. If he doesn't show up soon I may have to go knocking on his door.

THAT threat should get his attention. ;)

Earthquake? And how do you keep the water from pouring out of the lake?

All seriousness aside, nice picture.

I spent the day in the woods clearing an area and a path to this pond in the woods our neighbor let me use for having the dogs do water retrieves. It sits right on our property line but the pond is his. He has said clear out what I want and use it how I like we are pretty good friends and he is an older gentleman who I help here and there when I can. He dropped a giant dead pine a few weeks ago and I cut it up the main trunk had to be over 3+ feet diameter. It was a twenty minute job but he appreciated it plus I ended up with a bag full of homemade sausages smokies and some other goodies. Win win for both.

WOW just got power back on late yesterday afternoon from loosing it Thursday night, internet just got turned back on this morning 11:00 am. These pictures was Friday morning, still lot of snow on ground but tomorrows rain should turn it all back into mud. It was the most snow I had seen in 40 years in April, forecast all week said 3-6", at 5:00 Friday morning when done-ish I had 12-14" of the heaviest snow I ever seen. This was one storm I wish I could Passover............

I would guess that we got about 12" based on what was in the back of my truck. It was up to the top of my Red Rangers as I was standing in the pickup bed cleaning the roof off.

It will leave fast though, it has already settled down to around 4 inches here.

I have seen storms in April, but this was one of the heavier ones. Next door to Maine, in New Brunswick, we received about 9" to 12". We've been metric for decades, but I still have Dad's yard stick in the garage Reads 9 inches in the photo). There was wind as well. In return for some chainsaw "work", I'll get some good firewood from this blow down.IMG_20200410_152352.jpgIMG_20200410_152844.jpgIMG_20200411_145520.jpg

(I have guys tell me a super split is better, because it doesn't make so much trash. Then they brag how their SS will split little pieces, to start their fires with.

WELL, that trash under the grate of my splitter, is PERFECT for starting fires with! NO extra splitting is needed!! )quote

I have a SS and it always leaves a nice small pile of kindling under it. As for using one of the SS splitters. You won't find a hydraulic splitter that can keep up with it unless it is splitting rounds into 8ths. I do have a 3pth hydraulic splitter that rests on the ground for the big stuff that I can't pick up.

I’ve never seen a kinetic splitter beat a 4 way hydraulic that’s cycling in the 10 second range. And a hydraulic lift on the 4 way will significantly cut down on the mess.

That must be a very nice setup. Is it a wood processor?
