I hope this doesn't seem odd, but do you know the approximate weight of that lift of lumber? Is there a substantial difference once it's seasoned? Thanks.

I do not, and I’m not positive I can pick it up, at the least I’ll have to change rear implement to something heavier to do it.... we will see.
According to my Estimated log weight calculator, the weight of the logs before milling is about 1800 ish pounds.
There is a huge difference when it is dried!! Loblolly pine has a high moisture content when fresh!

Depending on species the weight is usually 20-30% less after drying...

Only when it comes to poisonous snakes and alligators, I just got done plowing 8" of reptile repellent, and it was FUN FUN FUN...............

Reptile repellent! I like it!!

That's an interesting chart. I wish my father was still here. I'd like to show him how many tons of firewood we cut and split over the years. It sure adds up fast.

Amazing the differences in moisture content.

I'll take this over your heat anyday. Also your poisonous snakes, black widows, brown recluse...

I would never live in a place that didn't have "real seasons". I enjoy the winter, and all that comes with it - including clearing the snow from our hilly, 1/4+ mile driveway. (OK, I'll admit, I'm not nuts about clearing the snow of the shallow pitched porch roof when it piles up too high. At least I can reach it from the ground with a roof rake.)

And with any luck I’ll never live in a place where I have to fight snow ever again

I don't "fight" the snow, with equipment it's no big deal to move it out of the way...
