sure is. The farther I am in the woods the more I like it. I live overlooking a beautiful harbour and that is nice to but I seem to have to get my woods fix. I noticed you were from Nova Scotia. I was born and raised and live in Cape Breton.

We went out into my woodlot last Sat. and cut out a BIG load of firewood from "tops",

AND also cut/skidded out a bunch of storm damaged trees,

to be cut later, into firewood lengths, about four cords total.

If you're going through brambles like in your pic very often, I find wearing my loggers helmet with the face shield down very helpful. That "slap in the face" from a cantankerous branch doesn't hurt at all.

I cut 2 wagon loads of ash logs today. It was 4 trees, all screwed up by the ash borer. I also need to get some sort of ballast box too as the rear end was getting a little light. It would be nice to have one that I could still pull the wagon with.
