My BSM was made in Canada, by Norwood Industries... Norwood put the personal BSM on the map, they pretty much invented the idea of a "personal" sawmill, and everyone else came out with theirs, because of Norwoods great success of the Lumbermates...

Anyway, mines a Lumbermate 2000, I bought it new in 2005. I had a Lumbermate markIV before that, that I bought new in about 1996 ? . The LM2000 is a GREAT BSM that I think will go down in history for being one of the best BSM ever invented....as lot's and lots of them were sold and they just plain have a great reputation for being reliable, accurate and inexpensive to own...

With boards like those a sawmill pays itself in short time, I enjoyed all those pics Rob

SR-
We have some American Black Cherry, here, but I've never seen one grow as straight as that trunks is. Did it grow up at the bottom of a hollow, where the wind never reached? That is truly amazing looking lumber that you have sawn from it, too. Looks like something you could make one-of-a-kind furniture from. I'm still a bit slack-jawed after seeing those logs.

My wood lots are small, one has a small stream going through it, the other doesn't. Both are on high ground but there's plenty of water around here. There's nothing blocking the wind to any of my place....

I do have more cherry, some of them are crooked, and some aren't.... Here's another example of a local cherry,

Cherry is my fav wood to work with, and I have made a few things from the cherry off my place, I'm hopeing to do more in the future...

Get boxes that are already built. :) I've seen ones with a dirty or bad tank go for as little as $25. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/owning-operating/416177-tractors-wood-show-your-pics-87380-39cabca31480613fb8b79d7d5d5d3987-jpg"/> <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/owning-operating/416178-tractors-wood-show-your-pics-2ih2z2c-jpg"/> Or a simple build. Wrap a pallet with a cattle panel or concrete mesh. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/317741-l3800-firewood-post3840734.html#post3840734 Bruce
