I have a John Deere 5205 that won’t turn over. Jumped it out at solenoid and it turned over but didn’t start. Switch was on. Will a bad thermistor prevent it from turning over I know it will prevent starting.

Are trans & pto control levers in neutral or off position? Have you checked that all fuses are good IE no fuses blown. With ign switch in on position check for 12 volts at wire on fuel control solenoid on inj pump.

On the bottom of the inj pump is a wire.. that wire goes up to a temp switch on the manifold..
Unplug it either from the inj pump or the manifold & replace the starter fuse..
It should start now.
