Tractor Spending Problem - Chapter 3

I have a chronic tractor spending problem.

Earlier this year I picked up a new Cub Cadet 5252 w/ FEL. Great tractor, did everything I needed it to do and more. However, it was 2 wheel drive and wasn't diesel. So, I've been on the prowl to step up for a couple months now.

It appears I've just picked up a 2006 2520 / 200cx FEL / 62D on ramp deck for $14,850. Tractor is slightly used - 92 hrs. I checked it out this morning at the dealer and it looks brand new.

Does that seem like a good price? It did to me. I know these are going new for around 18k with the above equipment. Being able to get $3k off for 92 hrs seemed like a good haircut. It was an ebay auction, but since it was local I was able to go check the tractor out, which made me a little more comfortable.

Thoughts? Did I find a good deal?

IF that tractor checks out fine (which it should with remaining warranty)... That is a SMOKE 'N good deal IMO ... congrats!

It seems you not only have a problem buying tractors, you have a problem "acknowledging" that you bought a tractor. It appears I picked up...

So, did you or not? If so, good job. Any pics?

The tractor was an ebay auction, so there is always an amount of uncertainty whether a deal will close. Yesterday I dropped off a check with the dealer and arranged delivery for next week. I can now say with a reasonably high degree of certainty that I HAVE purchased a tractor.

As soon as the new baby gets home I'll post some pics. I can hardly wait!

I'm so anxious to get it I've actually been reading the operating manuals online, so the minute it gets here I'm ready to go.

Its a real nice step up from the Cub...
