tractor seats too low

I have a "hot pad" - much like the pad D2cat shows. Use it directly on the seat, in the winter. Retains body heat, raises the seat height slightly & provide a bit softer ride. Especially in the winter when the OEM seat is rock hard. Store the pad inside. So it's warm to start with when placed on the tractor seat.

I don't have a problem with height so much as with leg room. My knees always hit the dash when I turn around while backing up, easy to bump the ignition switch to off. May or may not notice it for a while during the day since all it does is turns off the electrical system...can't imagine it's good for the charging circuitry.
I re-drilled the mounting holes and got another inch or so, but could really use more.

I guess like cars from the Orient they're just not made for people with long legs...

I had the same problem with my SCUT, now the same with a small compact. On the scut, I just raised the whole seat assembly using 2" square stock. When I sold the SCUT, the buyer was 6'5" and could operate it OK. On the compact tractor, I put on a new seat that was about 3x thicker, also adding 2" brackets, but only on the front mounts 'tilting' the seat back. Worked out great! I now have much more leg room.

Wow Guys:

thanks for all the great suggestions. i think this is a combination of a little more height and moving the seat back a bit. Will send pics once I get it done.

Kind regards,
