Hey MossRoad! Here is a link to the tractor rollover demo pictures and videos that we keep talking about in many forums here on TBN. There are five pages of information there, many pictures and videos. Please read them all, look at the pictures and watch the videos. I'll make this a sticky post for now so that it stays at the top of the Safety Forum for a while.
Tractor Overturn, H.J. Sommer III
Thanks for the link. Can you update the one on the first page with this link? I had to scroll through the whole thread hoping for an updated link. =)
Yes row crop tractors are more prone to roll-overs on hillsides. If you must turn a row-crop tractor down a hillside you slow and turn as fast as you can.I would like to know if tricycle tractors are really more prone to rollover or if it depends on the situation. Seems many of the older narrow front end ones where wider stance in the back as compared to their height. I know some people are really afraid of narrow FE tractors but some old farmers say its hogwash about the greater rollover potential.
Terragators dontToday trike ORV's and on-road have 2 wheels in front, with one drive wheel in back.
Yup, and with a top speed of 41 MPH. They are not used on hillsides as far as I Know.Terragators dont![]()
exactly! That is the reason Honda had to stop producing their ATC .Of course a three wheeler is more unstable than a four wheeler if everything else is the same.
