Tractor rolled over on me this morning

Looking again, there is a small incline.
I was on mine this weekend. It started tipping to the left and the only thing that stopped it was my mid-mount mower. It was some scary ****. I was working my loader on a small incline.
I had my old tractor for 17 years and not once came close to rolling.
Of course, that one didn't have a front end loader.

Yep, adding weight above the center of gravity with a loader or anything else can make the tractor a lot more tippy.
It’ll tip over faster than you know what’s happening.

And if you don’t know what happened, what prevents it from happening again?

I hope, we get to see how this matter was resolved, with high quality AND wide view, pictures.

As we removed the growth along fence line we found the stump of the tree that I was trying to cross over. As my left front tire climbed up the stump that tilted me to the right. That combined with the right angled slope of the ground caused the roll over. So combination of slope and obstacle that was hidden.

Good practice is to mow uncharted land with a loader or some other "feeler" out in front. My property had (well, still has, but it's now less) a crapload of timber debris and stumps. Gotta creep along the first time until you KNOW what you have: hitting something with a bucket can be a bit problematic if wearing a seatbelts, and perhaps worse if not.

At one point in time when I was finding myself getting stuck more often than I'd like to admit I was considering a good boat anchor for use in kedging the tractor out: then it was only the B7800; not sure if I would have any shot of using one for my NX as I'd have to have a really BIG anchor. Could also be employed in a situation such as this, though, hopefully, one doesn't get in such a situation more than just one time!

I like ku0a's idea of the dredging mechanism (sorry, already forgot what it was). Same idea is used to right large trees during planting. While I like the idea, I'm am happy to report that I haven't had the need to resort to using a practice such as it.

I drove up on a log yesterday as i was mowing, but smaller than the OP. I backed off and went around. No ROP on my little massey.

It's why I am so nervous about inexperienced people running equipment, or people that don't react well to sudden circumstances. You could probably get a circus monkey to cut the grass, but what gonna happen when he sees a snake?

I saw a snake also while mowing yesterday, lol How did you know?

I should hop on the tractor and mow some more.

Actually can't say exactly. Trying to go over downed tree and also got on top of the stump hidden in tall grass. It made a hard turn and went over.

I just heard from Nick Saban. He is coming out to your place to congratulate you along with the Crimson Tide Marching Band and the C-T Cheerleaders.

Gus? He doesn't like tractors.

Actually Saban's bus broke down somewhere around Clemson. Heard he was afraid to come out of his bus for the next three years become some true freshman kicked his ***.

Those mini loaders are inherently unstable in my experience. And he had the load raised in the air.

glad you are ok I would find a local 4x4 shop and pay a Jeep guy to winch it back over unless tow truck can get to it or go buy a winch from harbor freight $299-20% it's 12000 lb..

Today was the first day I was back from work in 3 weeks. Went to the farm and checked over Matilda. That's the name my much better half tractor.

Topped off all fluids. Secured good contact on battery and she fired right up. A small amount of smoke and that was it. When considering all possible outcomes God protected me. From the possibility of being crushed to shelling out lots of money God took care of me. I am truly blessed.

No pictures of the uprighting? Or even explanation of how it was achieved? Did I miss something?

yes, you are.. Just remember it, and don't try going over big logs like that. We all learn if we survive :) You survived, make the most of it.
