One of the tractor quick disconnects is leaking when nothing is connected to the rear coupler. It does not leak when hose is connected. It is just a slow drip with the dust caps in place. I've wiped the inside female QD clean several times but doesn't seem to help as oil keeps dripping.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think there is any pressure on the standard QD's unless the valve control lever is moved off center.
Do I need to replace the female QD on the tractor or is it repairable?

They should be repairable, You need to either get the rebuild kit from the manufacturer, or if it is a simple o-ring, try replacing that first. Spring may be weak.

It is possible to leak i the static mode, but when pressure is applied, the o-ring is compressed, and seals the fitting.

J J, Many thanks for your help. I'll contact the dealer this week to see about parts kit or complete replacement.

I replaced the QD coupler today and no more dripping hydraulic fluid. Lost more fluid than I thought -- had to add 3 qts.
