Tractor prices in Canada?

I am waiting on a tractor delivery from Canada as we type. I saved quite a bit of money compared to what was available in the US, but the process to import it was a PITA. I used Cole International. The gal who assisted me was great, but it seemed to take forever to get the paperwork processed.
Now waiting on trucking company.
Good for you! What kind of price difference did you get?

Kubota tractors have been cheaper in Canada for quite some time now. I bought my 2008 BX 25 brand new for the equivalent of about 14,000 or 15,000 US. And now I see ads in the US for the new BX 23S for $25,000 US or more.

I just picked up a 2022 Kioti CK2610SE with Cab and loader for $27000. Wasn’t shopping, I just happened to be at the dealership as they were rolling it off the truck. Someone on the Kioti prices forum just spent 30+1800 in dealer prep fees for the same machine in Ohio and they bought a bunch of implements so it seems tough to get a deal right now. After I sent a couple emails around the US and checked tractor house to see how I did and couldn’t find anything too terribly close to that price. Southern Ontario was worse though with dealers asking almost 5k more, of course there is likely some wiggle in there if your sitting in front of the dealer with a cheque in hand.

Was that price at a Canadian dealer? If so, is the listed amount in CAD or USD.

If so, that is WAY less than what my friend was quoted. Granted, he's in Southern Ontario ...

The comparison of models is important. You are comparing prices on a much lower end model on the LX than the Kioti or the LS. That MT3 series is similar to a Kubota Grand L.

It would be like being surprised that a base model Ford is the same price as a fully loaded Kia or Hyundai back in the day.
Yes, except that when he priced out the Kubota, he added all of the extra features to make it comparable to an LS or Kioti "deluxe" model. (E.g. rear remotes, wipers, mirrors, 3rd function, mid PTO, etc.)

Also, note that he is comparing it to the MT335, which is a smaller frame size than the MT342/47. The MT335 is analogous to the older XR3135 (instead of the XR4140/45/50/55).

So, the frame size is virtually identical across the 3, but of course, the Kubota is still lighter and lifts less, because that is a short coming of all Kubota's.

But, his quotes are as close to an apples-to-apples comparison that you can get across the 3 brands.

It was 35k Cad which is 27100 USD right now. No dealer fees or PDI either, doesn’t seem to be a thing in this part of the world yet.

In my area anyway, I have found that these "off brand" tractors like Kioti, LS and Mahindra all came in with significant savings when they were new to market and relatively unknown, but as soon as they started getting popular their prices all became the same with the other brands.

Also noticed at my local dealer who sells both Kubota and Deere, that every couple years it seems to flip......Kubota is cheaper than comparable Deere, then next year the Deere is cheaper.

Probably saved 5-10K.
But before I spike the football, I need to see how much it needs (hopefully nothing) in repairs.
