Tractor Package Deals

I have been looking at purchasing a kubota mx 5200 with fel. Dealers in my area are comming in around 30k (estimates + -) for a kubota mx5200 gear with loaded tires and kubota loader with quick attact 72 in bucket.

I came across a deal I found on the internet for a mx 5200 tractor package that includes a kubota mx 5200 with loaded tires, a Ansung loader with 72 in quick attach bucket, 6 ft woods bush hog, 6 ft howse box blade, and 20 ft trailer rated for 10000 lbs, including binders and chains for about 30k cash deal!

I don't need the box blade, but do want the rest as this package would work perfect for me. I asked the dealership if I could trade the box blade for them to deliver the tractor, bush hog, trailer package to me and they said yes. (Over 7.5 hours awa one way.)

To on me this sounds like a great deal for a new 54 hp tractor. What do you guys think? Is there a catch here?

Several dealers offer package deals online. Nothing wrong with that and often good for the buyer such as yourself. A friend of mine bought a package deal Kubota, Brush hog, box blade and trailer in NC for the same price as the tractor alone locally. He was going to take a trip to NC anyway to visit family so he made the deal and picked up his package on the way back.

I would research the Ansung loader they are using to see if it is really comparable to the Kubota loader. It could be something you regret having in the long run.

I didnt know if there was rules here about mentioning specific dealers, my bad. It is parcs equipment in salem, wv. The sales person seems really nice as well, very impressed so far.

Very good point, and from what I have researched so far, it compares quite nicley in every catagory, and can out lift the kubota loader by about 200lbs if I remember right. I still have a couple questions to ask when I call back again.

Me personally, I'd opt for the Kubota branded loader, it's all in what you want though. What will they do for you with a Kubota loader?

I called stens in sc today. Nice people, but could not do delivery and tires were not loaded and was more in price then w.v. Thanks for that info for the kubota loader upgrade. Might be worth it.

Thanks for the barlows option. Just TV did their build tractor package and named my own price. We will see.

Might contact Dubberly Tractor in Chester VA. They have packages and have been pretty aggressive on pricing the two times I bought. Not sure how far they would deliver, probably not to PA. But you could pick it up if it's not too far.

I got a Kubota loyalty cash coupon for $2000 and used the heck out of it. They wanted the old out to make room for the model change. I later learned the 2014 MX5100 are more desirable because it was the last year before more emission controls were added along with (brace yourself) a price increase. I don't think the dealers figured that out until I was long gone. It's all about the timing.

Checking on ansung loader comparisons to kubota. Most everything is simular by nasungs site. Ansung can lift about 200lbs more.

Question, the maximum dump angle degrees is a big difference, kubotas is 47 degrees. Ansung is 60 degrees. What is dump angle and which is best?

I would have a good heart to heart with a dealer and ask the magic question. "How would this loader affect my warranty"?

Seems like you got a good deal. I talked with someone who got a mx 5100 loader and such for 23000 cash 3 years ago. I would like the tier 3 engines, but have heard numerous times the tier 4 final wit th the regen dpf are working pretty good for kubota customers. Not to derail, but have been told diesels will have the def fluid next year. Fluid has 6 month shelf life and can not freeze. Go figure, add cost and hassle. Go epa.

Dump angle is just that. The angle from level that the bucket moves to dump the load out. At 47 degrees that's more than straight down. Not sure more is better. 1. If the load is stuck in the bucket (clay or wet snow) 20 more degrees might not matter. 2. If you back drag the bucket to smooth stuff out I would think you would be always over tilting the bucket. Also I would have a good heart to heart with a dealer and ask the magic question. "How would this loader affect my warranty"?

I can be very dense at times, sorry, but I am still a bit confused here. So 60 degree dump angle means the bucket can travel farther in dumping action then one that is 45 degrees??? If I am understanding, wouldnt that be better? And as for back dragging, I could always just not use such a severe angle, right???

You are correct on both counts. My point was if it's stuck in the bucket it's stuck. As for back dragging you could not set it so far back. It seems to me that would be more of a inconvenience forward and backwards. I see you have other Kubota stuff. Ask Kubota (company or regional rep.) about any loyalty cash programs. And lastly really think about HST. Any amount of loader work it's gold. Also just hooking stuff up like 3 point, moving trailers around, or moving stuff chained to the bucket, HST is so smooth...

I don't know what the dump angle refers to. But isn't going from level to straight down 90 degrees?

Our M59 probably has a similar loader to the one you are looking at. It will curl about 15 degrees past straight down. Yes, you can backdrag with the bucket at any angle, but on a heavy tractor it actually works better backdragging if it is a little less than straight down rather than more so. I do like the Kubota loader. It's well balanced and the controls are very accurate. Hard to see how they could make it any better....but it would be easy to make one not quite so well fitted to the tractor. Other things I like about it are the front hydraulics and the Quick Attach fixture on the front of the loader arms which lets me use other types of bucket on the front. Like rock buckets or grapple buckets. The QA on the Kubota is a standard skid steer size fo you can even rent buckets and whatevers at the skid steer shop.

Some other things I thought I'd never want on my tractor but now would never be without are industrial tires, 4WD, and that astonishing six speed HST tranny.

If it was a new machine the dealer didn't care. The tractor belonged to Kubota and not him. He had their tractor on his lot and they give him a cost to him when he sells it and he adds the profit he wants/needs and wants to see it gone so he can get his money and Kubota sends another one to put on his lot. Playing keep the good ones and sell the bad ones isn't a good business plan.
But, you got a great deal at the right time and the dealers situation is his blessing/problem. :thumbsup:
