I called State Farm about this since I'm buying a Deere 1025R, and wanted to know if it was covered. The agent said it'd be covered for everything but a rollover. It's financed, so Deere needs full coverage until it's not. So I went with the Deere policy which is ~$3/month.
I could be wrong, but the way it was explained to me, the Deere coverage is only to cover the loan, not a loss on the equipment...i.e. if it's destroyed in a fire, they'll pay off the debt, but not pay for repairs/replacement...

With my insurance(Nationwide), my tractor is covered as long as it's on my property. If it leaves my property I have 0, zilch, nada coverage on the tractor.
I agree with having KTAC and have had them since 2010. They cover all of my John Deere equipment.tractor plus Polaris, barn, generator and other items. Full replacement and all perils without exception. Low price for coverage.

Have State Farm here, spoke to my agent specifically about coverage when I bought the New Holland. A regular State Farm homeowners policy will cover the tractor and attachments up to the limits of the policy, less the deductible, IF -and he emphasized this- it is on my property. Take it off property, no coverage. There is a separate policy available for off-site coverage.
My policy with Deere came in the mail today. The policy is a full Inland Marine policy and covers replacement up to appraised value. At least in NY anyway.
Not bad for $40/year.
What's full replacement value of your rig if you don't mind me asking? Mine's $22k, and my policy costs me $101/yr.

So I have 'Tractor Insurance' now...thanks to recommendations here I went with KTAC (Kubota) to insure my Kioti and various other brand implements. They enacted a policy over the phone, quite convenient and all questions answered.
As you can see from my previous posts I have Allstate for all of my other properties and possessions. I thought about calling them back after a lame referral to some high priced company with a ton of exclusions. I think Allstate could write a policy if they wanted but after talking to KTAC I'm sure it would be nowhere as thorough. KTAC allows off property use, full replacement value- which YOU choose the amount and premium is based off of, they will trailer it to said dealer in the event of a damage/ loss claim. All in all I felt it was set up for covering what I'd expect as a customer.
Well I called KTAC and spoke with a Debbie and she said she could not insure my Kioti that I am purchasing, since I had never had a Kubota insured with them, I did not purchase the tractor from a Kubota dealer, or I did not have a Kubota currently insured with them. Any suggestions from those who have coverage on a non-Kubota brand that are insured by KTAC, because I am getting no where by calling them.
