Tractor in pond

Ego and pride damaged but ultimately, I am still here. Had accident with my David Brown 990 and full yard of loam on trailer. All three of us ended up backwards in our pond. Now out. No water in diesel fuel. Tractor still running running well. Major water in oil, and transmission/hydraulic ( common ) fluid.
I have not used hydraulics at all since then.
Questions relate to best way to get rid of water in everthing. Sounds like repeated fluid changes are most recommended. A mechanic suggested one or two refills usind Dexron III, something about water properties. Also wondering if in purges, if still recomended, it's required to use normal filters or not. Some mention on others posts re using diesel fuel as a purge. Any advise on all of the above will be greatly appreciated

My old 1963 Fordson super major would ice up in winter months at the inlet of the hydraulic from the small amount of water that was mixed with the oil. I was a frustrating problem as it would sort of come and go. I was told to use 3 parts Kerosene to 1 part hydraulic oil. The proceedure was a factory recommendation. I was suppose to run it for 20 minutes doing light tasks. Then drain, fill with new fuild. I did it and it worked for me.

I too have done kerosene +oil in my dirt bike transmission to flush out contaminants after I sink it in a mudhole. I just put it on a stand, left the drain plug a little loose and shifted through gears 1 and 2 while the rear wheel was up in the air. I kept refilling with my oil+kerosene solution until I had washed it out with 2x fluid capacity then I drained it completely and refilled with oil. 5 years later I tore it down to rebuild the engine bottom end (built into trans case) and everything still looked great.
