Another question. How many rear remotes are required for most older mower conditioners?

One or two at most. Your only vital one is to raise and lower the mower. The tounge might be hydraulic also but generally the older mowers just had a rope you pulled to release the pin then you drove away from the mower to tounge into the proper working position.

Thats how my MF725 is rigged (single remote). Power swing wasnt even available as an option.
