Hello, i recently purchased a cub cadet sc2400 sub compact and dont have a barn/garage for it yet and was looking for a cover to keep it out of the weather until we get the building up in the next year or two (county aproval takes forever here for new contruction) but all i find are covers for large tractors, lawn & garden tractors and antique tractors but for the life of me im unable to find one for a subcompact would anypne here know of where i might find one for my SC2400?

Thank you for your help :)

I agree with MMagis. You can lash and tie the ends and sides of a tarp securely resulting in protecting your investment from the elements. A word of advice--when you remove the cover, keep a watch out for critters that had the same idea and wanted to escape from the weather also..Happy tractoring.:tractor:

Plan B might be to buy one of those tarp garage kits. Unless you got one for RVs, you might have to fold down the ROPs, but otherwise this would work. When erected properly and anchored well, these can last several years...plus they are pretty cheap (a relative term, I know!) ranging from maybe $250 up to $700, depending on how big and durable.

thanks for the suggestion RD,
But unfortunatly my county counts those as a permanant structure and im require to make a foot by foot measured diagram of my whole 9.5 acres then a full description of the building as well as documentation of the snowload of the building and then map out where it will be on my farm while keeping from being within 150feet of the creek running on either side of my narrow creek, then after that i have to get the DNR to come out and certifi that it wont cause water/mud run off into the creek possibly contaminating it. once thats all done i get the privledge of paying a $200 building permit then i get to put up said building then i have to have the fire martial come out and certifi that its not a hazard. yes its absurd but thats our county beauracracy for you.

If your cover is weather proof allow for the fact that it will also create condensation under it if sealed to tight. This happens on motor cycles when they are covered and can cause rust, corroded electrical connections, etc.

Would a motorcycle cover for a large touring bike fit? They are 8 feet long and 3+ feet wide. With the ROPS on you might have to tuck it around the seat etc. I.e. Gold wing size

And yes, county zoning is a huge PITA.

Check out The Weidmann Brothers website. They have covers for a bunch of tractors. Custom fit. Real nice product.

Well there might be another way to get decent coverage or storage for your tractor that gets around some of that red tape. Had you considered an enclosed storage trailer? Say 6 foot by 12 foot or fourteen foot? Around here the used ones seem to go for about@K - perhaps far more than you want to spend. Yes you would need something to pull it with and perhaps you would have to have it registered to keep it on your 9 acre place but it might work. Otherwise I might be tempted to get some canvas and make a cover. Good luck with it!

Check out the King Canopy II for about $200. I have had one for about a year now and it has held up well. I have had 5 inches of snow on the roof and hurricane last night, it is unstoppable. During a snow storm I will try to clear it several times during the storm by hitting the underside with a push broom.

It is held down by eight 16" cork screw type anchors and during bad weather I have ratchet straps reenforcing the roof. The ropes hanging from the ratchet straps are to remind me not to drive out until I have removed them.
