Hi jodebg - that carrier is gorgeous. What model of hitch receiver is that on there?

/ Tractor Carry All-Winter project now complete! #23
What was the particular model of hitch you installed? I'm looking at going the same thing....thanks!

The hitch was purchased from Harbor Freight. It is a bumper mount design. They had 2...one small and a larger version. I went with the heavier, larger one. I looked on their website
and did not see it. I am sending a link to show you what they look like. The photo shows a smaller version available from another seller.

The upper mounting plate on mine is 13-14" wide. Hope this helps.

I will be posting additional photos of the carry all soon. I have added quick detach feet for use while mounted on tractor, and also a piece of plywood that extends the bed out 3" for carrying fire wood. Flip the plywood 180 degrees and it extends the bed further for brush hauling. Works great for brush-holds a lot!

Thanks for your compliment. We could not be happier with the results. Great ballast and utility.

That is one fine carry-all that you have built, what size pvc pipe did you use for the shovel/rake holders?

Thanks!

I used 1.5" electrical conduit on the side mounting/removable rack for shovels and rakes, etc..

On the backside I mounted 2" conduit. The 2" come in handy when you need to carry your log roller, axe,
or just a shovel or rake.

*Photos of recent additions to our Carry All.

Eye Bolts were added to upper rear corners of rails to secure loads.

Quick Detach Feet are secured by one bolt, washer and permanently mounted T-Nut. These are left on
while carry all is attached and in use. When I detach the carry all I first remove the 2 feet, and then lower the carry all
onto the installed casters. The caster allow me to roll the carry all while dismounted.

Also, I recently cut 2 sets of notches in a piece of plywood.
One set of notches secures the plywood for hauling brush-long extension.
Shown mounted in brush hauling photo.

The second set of notches sets the plywood into a short overhang position which allows me to load and support 2 rows of firewood in the carry all.
I will take a photo of the notched plywood and how it is mounted soon.

I purposely designed the carry all at a specific distance from the 3 point hitch mounting pins.
The plywood assists on those occasions when extra cargo space is needed.

Jodebg,

So I was wondering where in New Hartford you lived so I looked at the picture on the first page and realized you are just around the corner from me. I'm on the dirt road. The guy in the silver Nissan pickup. Funny.

Sure thing; one of these evenings when I'm not running late for dinner.

Hi All,

so I installed the new hitch and took some pics. It's about 75% done for my needs. I'm thinking of painting it too.

Looks great! Like the tool rack.

I never take mine off. It's amazing what it can hold and then hauls the rest.

What color are you planning to use? Just ordered Valspar Kubota orange and
hardener yesterday for another project. Not sure if I will paint the carry all??

I ordered the double ball trailer hitch from Harbor Freight. Thought it would be
handy to have both a 2" and a 1 7/8" ball welded on and ready to use.

Do you haul a dump cart behind your tractor?

Not sure on color yet....maybe Deere green....I also had designs on maybe "trimming out" some of carryall with Azek or whatever Lowes or HD carrys....probably not, but thought about making it look better. It is extremely useful!

I do pull around a 17P dump cart as well as a fertilizer spreader and a lawn roller. All light duty stuff....

JD yellow might look nice on the cart.

I also have a JD dump cart-very handy. Did you build a set of rails for your dump cart?
If you are interested, I can send some photos of the set I came up with. Doubles the capacity
and I also carry my chainsaw and equipment on the rails and keeps the cart free.

I do have removable rails for the cart that I made. Hadn't thought of hooks for the chainsaw and other tools. Do send pics....I love the ideas!

Next time I set up the pull cart I will shoot some photos and post them. May take a while, but I will do this as soon as I can.
