Had a Tuff Top on my Kioti and loved it.
Unfortunately when I got my LS and looked for a new one shipping cost became a problem.

John Deere has been making good tractor umbrellas for about half a century now - I've got one. They are surprisingly well designed and durable. Reasonable price, too. AFAIK, only in JD yellow though....

Any suggestions for a tractor canopy
Have Kubota m5040
Check out the canopies from Eger Products made in Ohio. I noticed some time ago that Rural King was selling them. I bought two several years ago. One for a 30 HP Kubota and the other is on a 50 HP John Deere. They're really solid, heavy-duty, and have a nice gutter all the way around. (I drilled drain holes in the back corners of mine so the gutter doesn't have standing water in it.

Update -- I just looked and Rural King shows these as not available there anymore. Too bad. Looks like the company still makes them, but not sure about price and shipping. (I picked mine up at their facility near Cincinnati.) Here's a picture from the Eger site.

I have the factory kubota fiberglass canopy and it was less than 400 with the mounting kit from the dealer. Like everyone says on other topics see the salesman not parts it’s cheaper that way

I made this one for my JD 4120 in 2005. It is canvas over a wood frame. It weighs about 40 pounds and can be installed or removed in about 2 minutes. It attaches with two 3/8" bolts drilled thru the top of the rops and two metal diagonal supports at the rops hinge.

I made it from stuff I had laying around, so the materials were free and it took about 2 hours to fabricate. The original canvas (old boat cover) lasted about 10 years. The white canvas on it now is from an old tent camper my brother in law scrapped.

I tapered it towards the front so that it doesn't snag branches, and gave it some depth so that it provides shade when the sun is at an angle. These features, and its light weight and low cost make it significantly better than any factory models I have seen or used.

Tuff top, The big one. Makes a lot of shade and is incredibly 'tuff'.

Messed up my shop door with the tuff top canopy on the 790.... My fault, not watching what I was doing, door not all the way up.

Anyhow, canopy more or less wooped up on the metal door and the canopy came out unscathed.

I am reminded of the incident every time I throw up the door....

I just got my tuff top installed. They don't offer blue so I went with white.

Tuff Top comes off as easily plus you can change the angle of it easy too. I sure like mine on my M9 open station. keeps the sun off my hairless pate. :p

Worst comes to worst you can buy some
square tubing and brackets and a piece of
sail canvas and fabricate your own canopy
don't forget the nuts, bolts & washers
sail canvas: Nylon 400D Optic White 62" - Great for Banners and Sail Bags - Sailrite $10.95 yard 10 year warranty??

Ya know, I was thinking how hard would it be to pickup an old S10, Toyota, Ranger ect. camper shell and just cut the top section off and use some rubber edging on the cut, then mounted on a frame. The shells are all over craigslist and FB Marketplace.

And it's less than 1/2 the price.

I would think it would be very easy to attach
a camper top to the rops. Would only need
2 pieces of square tubing some brackets,
nuts, washers and bolts. Whole lot cheaper
than buying a top and you have the satisfaction
of making it your self!

Mine came with a fiberglass top, I believe it is from Kubota. Trailering it wasn’t a problem, the tractor was delivered 50 miles to my mother’s house where I put on the backhoe which had been my father’s then it came 200 miles on a rollback, half of that was up the interstate.
