Tractor canopies

/ Tractor canopies #61
I have watched this thread for some time and have been quite impressed by the ideas everyone has come up with. I am a new tractor owner, having a little over 200 hours on my first one. I have been looking at fabricating a canopy for my little BX25DBL, as a store bought one is priced way to high for me, so I came up with my own idea. I obtained 3 old Military Police riot shields, removed the Military Police stickers, hand grips and straps, applied some dark window film and bolted them together on a framework made from 3/4 inch conduit. I used two of the hand grips to 1) plug the holes and 2) for what the heck, I got 'em, I'll use 'em. Anyway, I think it came out pretty good... I made this about 3 years ago in a couple of hours for temporary sun protection while haying. I can take it off in about a minute or less with no tools required.

That's pretty slick too. PVC is light and relatively strong. Looks good!
