for that price why not just start with a tracked machine? That seems a little high for an add-on.

I would certainly agree with you that $24,000 is rather outragous. It seems that you could just get another tractor to pull out the first if it got stuck for that kind of money. I could sort of see $4000-5000 if you really needed them.

At a recent ag show, I was told $40k for the Yanmar T80.

Looks like a lot of moving parts for maintenance on down the road. Bet it would kill the resale value.
