Tracking deviation

We have a Komatsu PC40 excavator and the left track is sluggish unless we push the 3rd valve pedal. We switched the pump hoses and the problem switched to the other side. We are suspicious of the pressure compensating valve or the modulating valve but do not know where they are located. Does anyone have some direction on this or know what we can do to repair this?

I'd have your hydrostat checked or the machine by a pro with the proper gauges, flow-meters and troubleshooting expertise and manuals.....if you have a rotating group inside your hydrostat going south, if can trash very fast internally ($$$$$)
