Your truck is probably fine for what you have. My concern is more towards wear and tear. Do you tow it often, or just a few times a year?
Make sure the overdrive is off when towing if it has a automatic transmission.
If you do tow allot or decide to upgrade your truck, I'd seriosly consider a duelly. The difference in stability when towing is like night and day. There is almost no sway and those rear duels seem to just lock onto the ground.
I'm not sure how they are on boat ramps, but towing a trailer on the road is totally different!!!!!!
