Towing a cow on an open trailer???

I was hauling an empty 16' trailer to Florida. I stopped along I-75 in Georgia to get some snacks. This is what I saw when I came out of the convienance store!!! A huge cow appeared to be tied down to my trailer with only a few web straps. Apparently the F-150 can handle it since the tongue weight appears OK................... I'm not sure whether ratchet chains or web straps are appropriate for a cow.


I couldn't have planned a pix this good if I tried. I had merely pulled in and parked. I had my daughter take the picture of me and my granddaughter.

Well folks- there must be a herd of those someplace- one about the same size was in a parade here just last night. Must be real tame creatures-it was on a trailer with just a little two foot fence! Not even a halter- I was wondering what kind of grill you would use for the steaks. These may be common in Texas, but sure bets the daylights out of anything I've ever seen at the county fair!

True story, in May while I was driving to work there was a dead cow on the side of I-75. I don't know if it somehow wandered onto the highway or fell out of a trailer. Everyone at work asked if I threw it into the bed of my truck and I had to say no, I was driving the car. Still, had to wonder just how big a loader you would need to pick one up. I didn't get to find out as it was gone when I came home from work. Pretty sure that one would have fit easily on your trailer!

I saw a Purity dairy truck pulling a trailer with one about that size about a month ago. Probably get a lot of milk from one like that. I think they are using some growth hormones though.
