LS R3039
Have a 1 1/2 year old LS 3039 with approx. 90 hrs. Has performed great since purchase with no issues of any sort. While working this afternoon the equipment completely shutdown and will not restart. Late in the day to contact dealer or factory for Q & A's so figured I'd give this a shot. Currently there is no activity what so ever when I turn the ignition. No system lights on the dash, no starter click, no electrical activity of any sort. Even checked the horn and sure enough "no honk". The displays on the dash still show 900 rpm, 1/2 tank of gas with normal operating temp 2 hrs. after shutdown. Traditionally these zero out at shutdown. Plenty of spark when I jump the coil posts, checked and cleaned frame ground at battery. Still no activity. Manual states nothing about a fuse or diagram available. Hoping for some assistance before I start the factory/dealer trek tomorrow.

Read a recent thread in the new holland operating forum, something about a Boomer 50 being down... Similar synptm description, turned out to be a safety switch or something of that nature.

The Boomer 50 thread was quite different...it was running, then started surging, stalling, would restart, etc.

Go to this link, and scroll down about 3/4 of the way and you'll find the wiring diagram for the whole machine. It appears there is a 50amp main fuse on the right side, near the air breather tube that goes to the air cleaner. Also, you can see the wires that go to/from the starter that were referenced earlier.

GManBart, thanks for the location of the electrical plans. Although the plans showed a 50amp fuse upper right in the engine compartment it was actually just off the alternator lower left. Fuse was in good shape. Got with the dealer and it would have been Monday before they could come pick it up for warranty work so pursued the search and found the white wire feeding the back of the ingnition switch had chaffed and shorted against some frame component. Thanks for all the assistance!
